Jody Marten is an experienced attorney specializing in adoption, citizenship, children's issues, and international athletes. She is an expert in employment discrimination law, with a special interest in disability and workplace issues. She works with the adoption and international communities in the areas of intercountry adoption and citizenship for children and young adults. In the immigration field she also works with student  athletes, colleges and various sports organizations in obtaining visas for international athletes.

She organizes and conducts seminars in issues of international children’s concerns, the workplace issues and current sports law issues involving girls and women in sports such as Title IX,  disability issues for student athletes and pay equity for coaches, and discrimination under Title VII. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
