Jody Marten practices general immigration law specializing in citizenship and naturalization, and in the
immigration law aspects of intercountry adoption. She regularly prepares appeals in orphan and
family-based adoption issues.
She is working on the Children's Citizenship Project to ensure that all foreign born children eligible
for citizenship in the United States become documented citizens. Through this project she is reaching out
to the parents of children eligible for citizenship and to other young persons eligible for naturalization
to assist them with the process.
Jody Marten is partnering with a national network of adoption and immigration attorneys and educational systems and
organizations committed to children's issues in the development of this Project.
She also works with various sports entities in the processing of visas for international athletes.
She also represents athletes in contract, employment and Title IX issues.
She is a certified Professional Tennis Coach and has started the Washington College Tennis Association (WCTA).
The WCTA sponsors events and programs for college aged tennis players to encourage continued participation.
